This simple song was written and recorded by Bobby Bloom and Jeff Barry in 1970 and released as a cover version in 1983 by Australian 10 piece party band The Allniters. Bloom’s version, which features his deep soulful voice, is a really laid back tune very different from The Allniters rousing uptempo foot stomper. Check out the difference in the two videos below. This is a great party song to have ready for when the dance floor is on fire.
