AULD LANG SYNE (New Years Eve)

Traditional

This is the main song you need in your setlist at midnight on New Years Eve. It is the number 1 song played around the world at the stroke of midnight.

Track Notes: This backing track is our own custom version based on years of gigs and experimenting with what works best based on crowd reaction. Below is a video of the Mariah Carey version of the song. Our track is similar in that it starts slow but then kicks in to double time although it cuts out before then on the demo. Our version is not quite the pumped up dance version below, but either way, the crowd loves it every time. We have added a sax as the melody line. Grab this must-have track and be a hit at your next NYE gig!

Auld Lang Syne

Traditional

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne my dear, for auld lang syne
We’ll drink a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne

[optional extra verses]

And surely you will buy your cup, and surely I’ll buy mine!
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for the sake of auld lang syne

We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun till night
The seas between us roll and swell, since the days of auld lang syne

For old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind
Should old acquaintance be forgot, for the sake of auld lang syne

For old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind
Should old acquaintance be forgot, in the days of auld lang syne

For auld lang syne my dear, for auld lang syne
We’ll drink a cup of kindness yet, for the sake of auld lang syne
