Get the party started with this rollicking blues number from rock god Gary Moore! It’s a sure fire way to fire up any dance floor with it’s crossover blues/ swing/ rock & roll vibe. This song was first written and recorded by Tampa Red in 1940. It became popular with blues artists and became a blues standard which was recorded by many artists including Fats Domino and Chuck Berry to name a few. Gary Moore was the guitarist with Irish rockers Thin Lizzy before leaving to embark on his solo career. A decision which seems to have served him very well!

Backing Track Notes: The original song, as you will hear in the below video was recorded in the key of B. This is a bit of an unusual blues key for guitar and piano, so we have taken the liberty of moving it up one semitone to C (for the REAL Track). It may be the case that the artist ‘tuned down’ one semi to record this, which is a common technique for touring musicians, not so much for recording. We think this version rocks just fine in C so that’s the key for the REAL Track. But, if you really want it in B, buy the standard MP3 version, that’s in the original key.
