SUMMERTIME BLUES

Eddie Cochran

Summertime Blues is a hit song recorded by American young rocker Eddie Cochran. It was written by Cochran and his manager Jerry Capehart.
It has been covered by many artists, including being a number-one hit for country music artist Alan Jackson, and scoring notable hits in versions by The Who, The Beach Boys and Brian Setzer, the last of whom recorded his version for the 1987 film La Bamba, in which he portrayed Cochran. Recorded: March 28, 1958.
Sadly, this rising star tragically died at age 21 after a road accident. Imagine the things he might have done! RIP Eddie, and thanks for the music.
